Go ahead and gently remove any of the dead leaves. Then, carefully trim the plant down to about half of the way it is now. After that, give it another round of fresh soil, if it looks like it needs it. Water your plant well, and then tuck it away in a cool, dark, and dry place — a basement would work perfectly!
